Monday Funday! Color Challenge Ahead!

Life is challenging.

Choosing a paint color for a small kitchen is challenging.

Participating in this?  NOT so challenging!

Head on over here to play along!  Just create a card/item using these 3 colors (and a neutral if you want!) and add your photo to the list!  If your photo is picked, there is a prize!!  Enter now!!!  Its a super fun way to flex those color muscles and use some colors that may have taken a backseat to the In-Colors that are so popular right now!

Here is my take on this combo:
February Color Challenge
Color your jewels with a sharpie!

Friday Favorites at SSInkspiration!

Today is Favorites Friday with the design team!

I LOVE COFFEE!!

oh....and I love Fridays!!

Why not combine a few of my favorite things?!
Friday Favorites at SSInkspiration!

Since U of M is sweeping the Big Ten Division in basketball right now, I decided to
use my GO BLUE! team colors to inspire happy Friday thoughts!

Get this look!
Crushed Curry and Midnight Muse!
toss in some Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Ink...and I can almost smell the coffee brewing!

I LOVE the new seam binding ribbon.  This happens to be Crumb Cake.  I am really sad this DSP is retired.  I am hoarding the remaining pieces....as all good paper crafters do!

When was the last time you used your aqua painters?!  I LOVE adding color subtly without being too "crayola colorish"

Ooh..and also....Gorgeous Grunge and Perfect Blend make the best coffee splotches
and coffee mugs!

Its time to head on over to SSInkspiration and check out my fellow design team's Favorites as well!

Do you have 30 minutes and a desire to create?

Can we talk about how much I love My Paper Pumpkin!!

What is My Paper Pumpkin you ask?
Its a FABULOUS break from reality courtesy of Stampin' Up!  Once a month, this special orange box will arrive on your doorstep.  Inside the box is everything you need to make a project!

So far, we have had a few card kits, a banner project, a journal, a note paper holder, and a mini photo album!  The fun part is:  You have no idea what you're getting until it shows up!

Each kit comes with instructions, stamps ink, and everything else you need to make the project.  You just need adhesive and about 15-20 minutes of your time!
Wanna hear the best part?  You will end up with an awesome stash of really cool stamps that you can't get anywhere else!!
(I may need a new box soon!)

If you sign up between now and February 10, you will not only get a sweet kit the next month, you'll also get a set of In-Color markers!!

Here is a card made with a sampling of Paper Pumpkin stamps.
Hey There Friend stamp and the splatters come in everyone's welcome kit!!  I also used the "love your guts" from the April card kit and the heart is from the November card kit.  These stamps are trendy and current and I am over the moon excited to use them every day!
I also got to use the new paper pack in the Occassions Catalog!  Win-Win!

SSInkspirations Monochromatic Day!!

Head on over to SSInkspiration to check out some awesome monochromatic cards!

Monochromatic.  So....what exactly is that?

Webster defines it as:
1.  Having or consisting of one color or hue    (YAWN)
2.  consisting of radiation of a single wavelength or of a very small range of wavelengths   (um...HUH?)
3.  of, relating to, or exhibiting monochromatism   (um...circular reasoning anyone?)
4.  lacking variety, creativity, or excitement:  colorless   (the complete opposite of what I love!)

I would define it as........AHHHHHHHHHHHH  What do you do with only one color?!?!
I love color!!  I love bright colors mixed with neutral colors...rich colors on top of subtle colors...
any color with every other color!
AHHH  I love COLOR!!
so to me it clearly was going to be a HUGE stretch to make this work.
and then....
SSInkspirations Monochromatic Day!!

I did it!!  I totally did it!
How fun is that?!
Now I will admit.  It took me longer to decide which color that I wanted to focus on than actually making this card.
I LOVE this Crisp Cantaloupe from the 2013-2015 In Colors.
I used the Crisp Cantaloupe Cardstock, Ink, In-color DSP pack,
and I used my Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin' Write Marker to color the rhinestone and the Very Vintage Designer Series Buttons.
Wanna hear the best part.....this is a NEW stamp set and framelit !!
If you have not had a chance to check out the new Occasions Catalog...oh Girl! (or Boy!) are you missing out!!
Check it out here
