Hello Happy Stampers!~

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you came from SSInkspiration, awesome! Glad to have you!
Didn't the girls do a GREAT job with their Quick and Easy cards...?!  If you haven't been there yet, check it out!

Here is my card...NOTHING is easier than using scraps to make a fun card !

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the October My Paper Pumpkin Kit!!!
It came with all of this stuff!!  Plus an awesome stamp set!

I loved these die cut feathers.  and I took one of the treat boxes, cut off the triangle, and made it the banner for the card.  And then I took the feathers and popped them up at different heights with dimensionals.

Gift Card Holder

Good Morning Happy Stamper!

Grab a cup of coffee/tea/etc.. and come have a little sit with me.
I wanna show you a quick and easy way to add a gift card pocket to a card!

oh..and I know you're shocked...
I'm going to use the Perfect Blend stamp set with Gorgeous Grunge!!

also:
All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape

Ta-Da!

Gorgeous Grunge + Perfect Blend = Match made in heaven!
To make the Gift Card pocket was super simple.  The card front measures 4.25 x 5.5 inches.  Normally, to make the white layer you would make it 4 x 5.25 in order to have the 1/8in border around it.  To add the gift card pocket I made the white paper 4 x 8.25  then I scored it at 5.25 to make the 3 inch deep pocket.  I used red sticky strip tape on the right and left edges and adhered them.  Voila!

Blendabilities...oh how I love thee...let me count the ways!
I used Smoky Slate on the coffee mug....and Coastal Cabana on the lid **I used the White Color Lifter Blendabilities Marker to make the colors really light because the card base is Lost Lagoon and I didn't want it to look weird!  I absolutely CANNOT wait for Stampin' Up! to release more colors of the Blendabilities!!
Also:  on the cup's "sleeve" I used our regular Stampin' Write markers in Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, and Pear Pizazz to make the striped design.  I love the look of corrugated cardboard, like the sleeves you get at the coffee shop!
The snowflakes are from the Frosted Sequins in the Holiday Catalog

Thanks for stopping by!

Truly Grateful ~ A Stamp set focus!

Good day Happy Stamper!
Today I'm gonna show you a SUPER cute card using the stamp set Truly Grateful from Stampin' Up!

I received this card from a fabulous demo in my sideline.  Sue Fortune...I adore you!  Not only is this a STUNNING card....it beats anything I could have come up with (since I don't own this set!!)

I love love love Fall.  And this card is a perfect way to use up some paper scraps as well as showcase some of our awesome embossing folders.  Nothing is off limits with leaves!  I love how she scored the leaves, used the dots embossing folder and she added some texture to the card by rubbing the sides of the image in the Soft Suede ink.  And that pop of glimmer paper is so classy!

Okay so in all seriousness...this set is so versatile...wanna see what else you can do with it?
Head on over to SSInkspiration and see what all the fuss is about.  The girls are all using the stamp set Truly Grateful and they each have their own little twist to it.  I love how we all see things so differently!

Eeeeeeeeek!  I love MDS!!  This is a super quick way to make thank you cards for your friends and family.  (or you could make prints to frame!)
With MDS you can create this card, and have them printed...easy peasy lemon squeezy!
and because its a digital image, look how quick and easy you can change things!

Did you know you could rip the edges of paper in MDS?!  just right click on the paper layer and there's an option for torn edges.  Its the same way you can get rounded edges.  The best part, you can rip any and all of the 4 corners!

I hope this inspires you to create and print some great looking thank you cards.  Use them often.

Technique Tuesday! Markers and Blocks

Happy Tuesday!

Are you excited to see a fun way to use your markers today?
We're going to stamp with our markers and our clear blocks.  Wait..What?!

First Step.  Pick out any of your markers that you'd like to use.
Then grab a block that is at least as big (if not bigger!!) than the paper you will be "stamping on"
Next:  Color your block!

I colored in stripes

* wanna see something fun? *
color your block however you want...

Spritz with alcohol and watch the magic happen!!
and you get this!

How cool is that?!  i think it kind of looks like mud.  :)  love it though!

then put all the pieces together and you have a visually awesome card with minimal work!

Want to see some more?! Head on over to SSInkspiration to see what the girls are making today too!

Happy Stampin!
