Color Challenge ~ #SSINKCC24

Well Hello Happy Stampers!!

I am SO SO SO glad you came by today to check out my card.  I had a LOT of fun playing along with SSInkspiration in their monthly color challenge.  If you want to play along...Click the color banner to enter your card/project!

These are such fun colors to use with my NEW stamp set!!  :)
Yes...you heard me.  NEW!

Hot off the presses and fresh from convention I am stoked to show you a preview of the "Acorny Thank You" stamp set.  :)  hee hee don't you just love the name?!

It's a super fun set, comes with a few choices for the acorn tops, bottoms, full ones, and greetings.  Oh...and the best part?!  Yup, bundled with a punch its SUPER easy to use!!

Sorry you have to wait until September 1st to order it.  Just add it to your wish list and stay with me here :)

Color challenge.

Cucumber Crush, Calypso Coral, and Elegant Eggplant
add a little Very Vanilla and you've got yourself a party!

It is a photopolymer set, so lining up the acorn tops and bottoms is SUPER easy.  For the acorn on the left, I used the wood-grain bottom.  I inked the stamp in Cucumber Crush, then used my daubers to lightly tap the Eggplant and Coral directly onto the stamp, then when you use it, you get the funky mix of colors. The daubers give you a subtle color variance.  You could also use the stamp pad directly (use the corners for better control) but then you get a deeper concentration of color.   Its all in what you're looking for :)

Want to see more cards using this awesome color combo?  Now you're totally thinking about playing along with us in the color challenge aren't you!?  :)  Head HERE !

You should have just left stop number 7 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Melissa ~The Stamp Doc. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Hey Girl!!

I just LOVE coloring (Can you tell?!) and I love playing around with colors and textures.  I am still mourning the Blendabilities, so using my aquapainter and re-inkers is kind of the same, but not really.  It is growing on me.  For the hair on this girl, I watercolored in Soft Suede all over (LET THIS DRY FIRST!!) then I watercolored some crumb cake in the highlight areas (it will lighten..bizarre right?)  and then in the end I used the Soft Suede marker to add the definitions and texture.  Phew.
Tomorrow I'm going to try using only my markers and a blender pen.  Wish me luck!!

This print was something for my daughter to give to her friend on their play date today.  She helped pick the paper (Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack), the colors, the stamps, and the embellishments.  I just adore stamping and creating with my daughter!!  (she is 8 by the way...and TOTALLY going to out-create me soon)

Don't you just LOVE this stamp set?!

What I love the MOST about this set is how EXTREMELY versatile it is!!
You can watercolor the images if you stamp them in Staz-on, You can color with our Stampin' Write Markers, then blend with our Aqua Painter or Blender Pen, You can use the paper piece technique (check back next week for a sampling of that!).  So Many Options!!

Thanks for poppin in today!  Head on over to Bree's page next, you will LOVE her project today!!

Color Challenge #SSINKCC23

Hello Happy Stampers!!

Don't you just LOVE these colors?!!

EEK!!  I am LOVING this new stamp!!
Get Well Soup #138768 ~ $13
This is a single stamp and wow...it packs a punch!

For this card I used Staz-on so that I could watercolor.
After watercoloring, I added Crystal Effects to make it look embossed, but only in certain areas

I watercolored in Bermuda Bay to give the sentiment some shadow and color

Can you see the Crystal Effects?!  I love using it to give that embossed look, but I can put it anywhere I want!  And no heat tools, realigning stamps, or versamark :)   super easy (just have to give it time to dry!)
Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you come back tomorrow for a SUPER fun new technique!!!

Sprinkled with Love!

Good Morning Happy Stampers!!

Ahhh....I cannot even begin to tell you HOW IN LOVE! I am with this stamp set!!

Sprinkles of Life

The fact that it has a matching punch is...well...just amazing!!

Tree Builder Punch

What makes this stamp set even MORE amazing?!  Every stamp set that is sold is helping the Ronald McDonald House Charity!!  A portion of every stamp sold in this exclusive stamp set helps families.... win win!

I used the new Delightful Dijon (In Color!) and a sponge dauber to color the burlap ribbon. I then used a scrap that had the cloud/ice cream scoop image punched out as a stencil to create the ice cream on the cone!  I love how even the scraps become functional!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back and check out more Sprinkles of Life in the future!!

Masculine Blog Hop with SSInk!

Hello Happy Stampers!! We're back for another awesome Blog Hop at SSInkspiration!!  As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 5 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Bree at Craft-somnia Momma. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Masculine cards are a bit of a struggle for some of us.  I don't send a lot of men cards...so I don't always know what to make for a guy.  Most of my "guy cards" are for my husband, my little boys, my buddies, or my 95 year old Grandpa!

I feel like this card could be for any of them!

This new stamp set Skating By is PERFECT!! for someone like me!!

Don't you just LOVE it?!!
I am a huge fan of coloring....so this is just amazing!  There are a variety of sentiments, which I LOVE! since it covers a wide range of options.
I also just love that Stampin' UP! made the stamp so versatile and easy!  See the open hand?!  He can hold his guitar, paddle ball, trophy, or his iPod.  Don't want him to hold something?  see that cute little hand up there?  just give him a full hand and watch him wave.  :)  Oh, and do you see the cutout on the skateboard?!  yup...he can hold that too, or stand on it.  You wont have to do ANY masking!!  this makes for quick and easy cards!

This new InColor ribbon is to die for!  It is SO yummy!
This is the Lost Lagoon 5/8" Cotton Ribbon ~ It comes in all of the 2014/2016 In-Colors! (Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, and Tangelo Twist)
Trust me...You will need all 5 colors.  It has a thicker texture than the typical cotton ribbon.  Feels more like a painter's drop cloth....oh I just cannot say enough good things about this ribbon!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you keep hopping along with us!  Kim at Stamping with Kim is next!
